Initial-reading tool

Visualise an inclined route.

Move the controls to read the angle, gradient percentage and geometric length of a direct route. This tool supports a discussion but is not a feasibility study.

An initial geometric reading of the terrain.

The calculation uses horizontal distance and vertical rise. The illustrated cabin represents movement only: it does not define the equipment type, dimensions or compliance.

What the simulation cannot tell you

The checks that remain essential

It does not assess gradient changes, ground stability, foundations, supports, stations, construction access or the applicable regulatory framework. It cannot determine capacity, speed or price.

To take the next step, send photographs of the terrain, the levels to connect and any plans available. The Project planning page explains the useful information for an initial discussion with F. Labbé.

Discuss the project / first review

Describe the site before choosing the solution.

A few simple details are enough to understand the journey and prepare a useful first discussion.

Useful first documents

  • Photographs from the bottom and top
  • Levels to connect and intended use
  • Any available plan, section or survey
